ACUTE SERVICESCrisis Stabilization and Respite
Services
A collaborative effort with local clinical providers, Continuum's Acute Services program offers respite beds with outpatient clinical care and day services as a short-term alternative to psychiatric inpatient care. The goals are to reduce the stigma of social disruption often associated with hospitalization and to promote successful reintegration into the community. This short stay in a comfortable home- like environment away from their usual residence allows for reflection and problem-solving around issues that may be causing stress.
