CORP is a collaborative endeavor of the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) and Continuum of Care. The program is for individuals re-entering the community after completing their sentence of incarceration.

CORP operates 24 hours a day and occupies two adjacent facilities. One bed in a shared room/24 hour setting is located in one facility, with two beds in single rooms beds located in the minimally supervised transitional facility next door.

Clients in the 24 hour setting share community space and must complete a daily chore. Clients in the transitional setting are responsible for their own living space, and must complete chores in the common areas such as the kitchen, TV area, and bathroom. There is a full kitchen in the transitional house. Food is provided at both locations, but meals are self prepared. Medications are either self administered and secured in the staff office or administered by a homecare nursing agency. Clients in the transitional setting are permitted to maintain their own medications.

Contracts are signed in accordance with probation and parole, and in agreement with program rules and regulations. Once clients are transferred to the transitional setting, their contracts are revised to allow for more autonomy.

CORP offers minimal case management, assistance with housing, transportation to recovery programs/events, daily groups, and ADL training/assistance as needed.

To be considered for placement, clients must be referred by their CORP clinician at the Connecticut Mental Health Center. The client must already be enrolled in CORP while incarcerated and CORP clinicians make the referral to the bed. For referral information contact:
