The Extended Living Program (ELP) is a shared apartment setting with on-site staff available Monday through Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm. After 8:00pm, an on-call pager is used for emergency issues.

Residents are responsible for the upkeep of their apartments, managing their meals and laundry. Laundry facilities and an on-site food bank are available. Medications are either self administered and secured in the staff office or administered by a homecare nursing agency.

It is required that all residents perform community chores within the apartment complex. Residents are also required to participate in 20 hours of structured activity per week in the community.


ELP provides case management services, facilitates scheduling and transportation to appointments and treatment programs, works with and educates family members, landlords, employers, etc. The program also offers various groups pertaining to healthy eating/cooking, art, karate, women’s issues, and nature walking.
