The Jail Diversion Program is a collaborative endeavor of the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) and Continuum of Care. The program serves clients in need of respite care while awaiting adjudication.
Clients are responsible for maintaining their living space and a daily chore must be completed. Meals are self prepared. Medications are either self administered and secured in the staff office or administered by a homecare nursing agency. Passes to leave the program are permitted after 48 hours, but only in agreement with the Jail Diversion Clinician.
The Jail Diversion Program offers minimal case management, assistance with housing, transportation to recovery programs/events, Recovery oriented events, daily groups, and ADL training/assistance as needed.
To be considered for placement, clients must be in the Jail Diversion Program under the Connecticut Mental Health Center. For referral information contact:
