The Respite Program operates 24 hours a day with three available beds. The program is designed for individuals that require time away from their current living situation.

Clients are responsible for maintaining their living space and a daily chore must be completed. Food is provided but meals are self-prepared. Medications are either self administered and secured in the staff office or administered by a homecare nursing agency. Passes to leave the program are permitted after 48 hours, but only in agreement with the client’s clinician. The maximum length of stay for this program is 10 days.

The Respite Program offers case management, assistance with housing, transportation to appointments and recovery programs, recovery oriented events, Activities of Daily Living training and assistance, daily groups, client outings, crisis support, one on one time with mental health staff, coordination and referrals to ancillary services such as Fellowship Place, Connecticut Mental Health Center, and housing programs.

Continuum of Care collaborates with all agencies within the Community Services Network.

To be considered for placement, clients must come directly from the emergency room, be in state of psychiatric crisis, or attend a daily program upon arrival. For further information please contact:
